It alternately saddens and angers me to see this administration’s head-long rush to destroy both our nations’s public lands, and the administrative processes which have ben built up over the years to ensure that ALL interested parties' voices are heard! In the name of ‘progress’ this administration aims to simultaneously squeeze out and ultimately silence those voices that oppose their own selfish short-term objectives. This becomes obvious if you take a few minutes to review the history of public lands in our country! How many times have the narrow economic interests of the powerful few been allowed to override the greater public good - only to have the dangers to public health and safety emerge after the powerful have left their messes for others to clean up? Why did the EPA have to create their Superfund project? How much public money needs to be spent to correct the mistakes made in the service of the sort-term greed of the powerful few?
The public lands of the United States of America belong to ALL of us!!
