Regarding (BLM), Docket ID (BLM-2025-0037) and RIN (1004-AF05). I am opposed to lowering bonds oil companies pay; we should increase them. I also think that we should be allowing sufficient time 90 to 120 days to review these contracts for oil companies. I am opposed to publicly use for private enterprise. This is the People’s land and should not be used for private gain. I am a teacher and lover of public parks and public land. It is there for the mutual benefit of all and should not be sent off to the highest bidder or the most lobbied interest. We really have lost our way as a country. If we start auctioning off land rights that belong to the people to a select few of extremely wealthy corporations. That is not democracy, especially when you consider that you are trying to reduce the discussion. And get these things through as fast as possible. That is not trying to cut through red tape that is allowing the public to weigh in on an issue. It shows that you are trying to hide these transactions from the public and get them approved such that they can’t be undone before the public has had a chance to review them. This is the most telling part of this to me. If something cannot stand public scrutiny, it should not be done. I am less worried about how this will affect me and more worried about how it will affect opportunities to enjoy public lands for generations to come. Because you know as well as I do that once you sell something off, you are never going to get it back into public hands ever again. I think that is what you are counting on. This is disgraceful, and this reeks of corruption. Why are we selling these spaces off? Albania is experiencing a similar situation so I would take a lesson from all the protests they are doing. You may hide behind your rhetoric all you want in terms of pretending to de-regulate public lands, but it is nothing more than rewarding donors and lobbyists and corporate interests over the millions people in America. You are doing this at a time in which the new cycle is very short and intentions are very short and it should go unnoticed, but people are fed up with this type of behavior. Think about your own children, inheriting a world worse and more to filed by corporate interest than the world you grew up in. Think about your own child looking you up online and realizing that you are the ones that allowed this kind of pollution to destroy our planet. Will you feel proud of yourself? The philosopher Emmanuel Khan said that a good rule to use when deciding if something is right or wrong moral or immoral is to say what would happen to the world if we all did this. I think you know what would happen if everybody allowed polluters to have free rain, and deregulation that this world would be uninhabitable within a few decades. Your selfishness in allowing these things to continue is part of that please reconsider your actions in light of what I have said if not for yourself if not for me then for your children and their children. Due to the inadequacy of the proposed bond amounts or the handling of public lands, we will all pay a steep price to fix what you do today. Why would you want that on your fellow human beings? I guess if you had an actual moral code that helped you know what to do that you wouldn’t be in favor of this untold suffering that you would be causing taxpayers and park lovers and people who lived in those areas where the soil would be poisoned and pouring out noxious gases. This is wrong and you know it’s wrong. You should not be in favor of this not now, not ever. How come you don’t look for alternatives to oil and gas like solar or wind. China is making in roads into the electric car companies and now we have fallen behind. Estimates put the oil and gas left to be pulled from this earth at dwindling over the next couple of decades, so why are we putting all of our eggs in this basket instead of more progressive and sustainable methods sun energy can be stored in batteries it is perpetual. It is self renewing, but I guess it doesn’t have corporate lobbies. Why did you go into government in the first place? Did you tell yourself I want to make Lance poison for generations to come and cost people untold millions of dollars to clean up after companies who should clean up after themselves? When you were growing up, did your neighbors son have to come over and clean your room? Let the oil and gas companies clean up their own mess and don’t pin it on communities or, better yet don’t let them come in at all.
