What I am reading above are words that use inflated language with hidden meaning to explain the BLM's attempt to manage our public lands and spend our money to do it. The title limits the meaning of "American Energy" because it only talks about Oil and Gas Leasing. Why doesn't the proposed rule include renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal? As an American taxpayer, retired teacher and environmental activist, I spend a lot of time reading, speaking, writing, and teaching others that the end of the fossil fuel era has arrived. We should be spending all our time and money on spreading the good news and affordability of renewable energy sources. Right now our nation is experiencing severe water shortages, extreme storms, triple-digit temperatures, a shortage of food and clean air all related to human-caused climate change. So when I read the complicated, hidden meaning in the language quoted above, my immediate reaction is to speak up in defense of our fragile, threatened environment. This Proposal cited in the opening paragraph should be deleted and or edited to say "Unleashing Affordable, Renewable Energy." If the current administration has completely neglected and deleted the word "renewable" from their vocabularies, you can't expect taxpayers to understand or allow this Proposed Rule to be adopted.
