I believe that we're in a period of transition in our use of energy and the energy resources required to fulfill those needs.
The electrification of autos is easy enough to see. While certainly compelling, I don't believe we have accomplished what their potential is. The electric scooters and bicycles are much closer to what the potential of small electric vehicles is with the resulting DRASTIC reduction in energy requirements.
Any auto that is currently purchased (prove me wrong!) is capable of safely transporting 4-5 people from LA to NY. That includes the electric ones. That's simply amazing!
For our urban environment where the majority of vehicle trips are made, a much smaller and yet safe vehicle can be used. We are not that far away from these becoming common.
Let's hold these Colorado and any other states open lands as special resources for the use of the majority of citizens and not held by the extraction industry.
We will survive and thrive without these resources being sold.
