Summary: The commenter supports the proposed action by arguing that individuals who were wrongfully committed to mental institutions or have been living independently for many years should have their Second Amendment rights automatically restored. They express concern that current systems allow for permanent loss of rights due to past diagnoses or "financial greed" by psychiatrists.
There are a number of people in this country who have been wrongfully committed to a mental institution simply because their parents can not nor will not do there duty a parents and give that responsibility to a states mental health system that is already jaded by financial greed and believing everyone can be pigeonholed into a mental illness diagnosis because of their past life experiences turned them into someone who people are afraid of wrongfully due their speech and/or act "weird or strange".People who were committed at the age of 18 and stayed in a mental institution for a decade but has been discharged and living on their own for 20 or more years without treatment should not lose their Second Amendment rights permanently and have those rights automatically restored the 10th or 15th year since discharge because a psychiatrist lied about that person to get a paycheck.
