If I’m committed or adjudicated by a court that I’m mentally defective do I lose my right to free speech religion the right to not incriminate myself the right to be secured in my person and belongings do I still have a right to not quarter soldiers a right to a speedy trial ? Why should I not have to the right to keep and bare arms unless it’s not a right or an equal right? If one is deemed mentally unfit should one be allowed to drive ? Make any kind of decisions vote or just live freely amongst us? With freedom and liberty and rights come responsibility and acceptance that these rights will be misused we have the privilege to drive and we accept the consequences that some will drive impaired yet we as a society still drive, and still accept the risks, and then there us the abuse of the courts, leos doctors lawyers and people in general who may claim that one is mentally defective potentially causing someone years of legal problems and costs if people are deemed safe to be in the public they is no reason they shouldn’t have all the rights unless the right to keep and bare arms isn’t a right but something else, clearly the government has become severely inflated and over regulates, I believe that the founders never intended for that to happen as the constitution and declaration were clearly written simply and easily to understand and follow, we knit pick the punctuation the period the comma as the same we do to Neil Armstrong speech that one small step , enclosing I’m for people to have the right to keep and bare arms even felons who went to prison and released I’m for a simpler life where thou shall not kill thou shall not steal a simple life where simple morals we all know we should not steal or kill and people who shouldn’t have firearms shouldn’t be free in our society to begin with
