I was adjudicated mentally defective for being a mental institution as 12 year old for only a week and have since recovered got my Associates Degree in Administration of Justice and I am currently a San Diego State University student in pathway to my bachelors degree I been barred from owning firearms for lifetime without any justification.I have never committed any acts of violence nor do I have any violent criminal history. This ruling I hope will help me restore my gun rights, I have successfully won my petition with the state (California) to restore my gun rights but unfortunately it didn’t restore my rights on the federal level. I plan to become a law enforcement after graduating undergrad and this adjudication has stifled me from working on become a police officer due to not being able to handle firearms legally and I have made it this far and worked my way through it all.
