Summary: An individual supports the proposed rule to remove factoring criteria for firearms with attached stabilizing braces. The commenter argues that the current regulatory uncertainty on pistol braces negatively impacts law-abiding gun owners and 2nd Amendment rights.
I support this proposed change. The government waffling back and forth on the legality of pistol braces has a chilling effect on 2nd amendment rights, and only hurts law-abiding gun owners that are just trying to comply with regulations.
I think that the NFA is unconstitutional on it's face. It's it ridiculous to even try to regulate rifles that are shorter, you are giving up power and velocity, it's weaker than a full length rifle. But this proposed regulation is a step in the right direction.
