Summary: An individual gun owner supports the proposed rule to remove the Youth Handgun Safety Act Notice, arguing that the ATF is overstepping its regulatory authority and should only enforce laws actually authorized by Congress.
As an individual I support this proposed rule. ATF's regulatory authority must be limited to what Congress has actually authorized. This is an example of where the American people get caught up in having to comply with "things" that are not the actual LAW, and this very type "thing" is what has made those of us who obey the law, so distrustful of government's overreach in general. As a gun owner who values constitutional government, I support ATF removing requirements it lacked authority to impose in the first place I urge ATF to finalize it. RIN 1140-AA87.
