Summary: The commenter supports the proposed update to clarify interstate transportation of firearms. They express a desire for the rule to account for unforeseen circumstances like detours or breakdowns and argue that law-abiding citizens should not be criminalized for accidental state law violations.
I support this update. I hope it will also support other situations out of our control, like being diverted via a detour or a vehicle breaking down etc. When it's obvious that the intent with law-abiding citizens was not to break the state laws, the law abiding citizens should not be thrown in jail or anything. Really - owning a gun legally and transporting it should not be treated like a crime in any state.
