Summary: The commenter supports the proposed updates to allow the importation of dual-use frames, receivers, and barrels. They further suggest that the ATF should permit the importation of other firearm parts and historic pieces where a market exists.
I support the recommendations to update the regulations to allow the importation of dual-use frames, receivers & barrels as submitted.
I would also recommend that the ATF also allow the importation of other items that would be of use as historic pieces, or generally desirable as someone who enjoys the variety of designs of firearms. Basically, if there is a market for the firearm or the firearm parts, it should be permitted to be imported.
